voice mail

I was about to explode with loneliness when my brother walked in with his friend, I like to think that they came for me but I know they had their personal vendetta's to fill.

Javier comes up to us laughing about his voice mail that he's had on his phone for 6 years. They tell me to call him and listen. So I dial the number on the flier above.

 I kept saying "what if this is a wrong number?" until it hit the 5th ring and I hear a "hello" after about 4 hello's into it and me thinking whoa Javier, that's a bit excessive.  I just went along with it.

I start talking with Mike, saying things like "it sounds real" and "this was popular in Junior High". After our short conversation about this voice mail there are 6 more hello's and "who is this?" with a little something in Spanish. 

After that I was convinced and a little relieved, it was that right number. About 15 minutes later Javier looks at the number and says "that's not my number."

We all just laughed, because that's all you can do after calling a perfect stranger thinking that it's an voice mail.
